No nonsense wall-writings of an "AnJOLINA" Jolie fan and a Catholic school-girl gone bad. Both live in a world of endless changes joined by common ideals and opinions regarding things--bitchy, stupid and real.

Uh oh
I was just opening a fresh pack of Wrigley's Extra Sugar Free Gum (which I chew about 3x a day) and I just noticed something on the back of the pack. It says:
EXCESS CONSUMPTION MAY HAVE A LAXATIVE EFFECT
PHENYLKETONURICS: CONTAINS PHENYLALANINE
Uh oh. Danes, mr. Chem-the-man, please explain. (the 2nd line i mean, the first one explains the Uh oh.)

Creepy, Creepy
So here's the story....when my Mom was here in Australia last May, we were scouting for a nice block of land or maybe even a house to buy cos back then I had plans to study at the University of the Sunshine Coast (which I did pass but I've deferred enrollment til February - cos I got a job) and then there were plans that maybe we could settle there when my parents would retire.
On the day my Mom was supposed to go back to Manila, we got a call from a real estate agent we had contacted before as we were interested in a unit (aka apartment) in this place called The Village which is just a 5 minute walk to the Uni and right beside a corner shop (aka sari-sari store) and across the Primary school (aka Elem/Grade school). A lot of the units there were being rented out to international students or students who came from far away parts of Australia. It was a nice unit, with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a nice kitchen & laundry, a carport and "the village" had a pool, tennis & basketball court. Basically it was ideal for students cos there'd be a lot of "socializing", hehehehe.
But my mom was wary of getting a unit since you'd have to deal with noisy neighbors (aka students who loved to play heavy metal music at 3 in the morning) and since it was close to the price of getting a house, why not get the latter where you have your own lawn, your own backyard and stuff. So in short, we didn't buy it.
Then about a fortnight (aka 2 weeks) ago, me & the rest of the people in the house were awaken at around 4am when we heard sirens and we saw ambulances and firetrucks rush by (cos the house where I live in is just a few minutes away) and we found out that THE SAME unit we were looking at (which still had students in there at that time and we had to come in and have a look and they were just there cos usually the agent informs them a day before so they can get out and just come back after but since we wanted to see it RIGHT THEN and THERE cos my mom was catching a plane, we had to make do with them in the house) BURNED DOWN. OMG, there were 3 students occupying the unit and since it was for sale one of them had already left to move out but she came back on that same day to pick up some more of her stuff. How unfortunate. They were all brought to the Royal Brisbane Hospital and were in critical condition. I called my mom right away and all she could say was 'Thank you Lord, for not letting us buy the house'.......leave it to my mom to react that way.
And last night I was watching the news and we heard that one of the students (her name was Catherine King) injured in the fire, died last night. That was just so sad.....but I found it sooo eery, sooo creepy that just about 2 months before I wanted to live there so badly and live "the student life" and had my mom agreed to buy that unit, well, God knows what might have happened. But then, I didn't die, I didn't lose anything, so back to my bitchy self....so what?
A officemate is resigning today (after, God, 12 years!) and so we're having morning tea in honor of her *yehey! free cheesecake & sausage rolls!* When I resign kaya at the end of Sept (after, God 4 months!) will they have morning tea for me?

I enjoyed it
Thanks for squeezing in a blog today...I know how stressful it can be with the board exam looming.....just don't wory too much or else you might end up losing that precious bunch of hair on your head!
Yes, I'm into Anne of Green Gables again.....I want to buy all the videos on DVD (but for what? I don't even have a DVD player)...and yes, I'm proud to say I was waaaaay past my Tiger Beat and BOP stage in the 9th grade! (that was like, sooooo 6th grade, whatever!) And you still remember all that.....my bag, my locker. Did we ever share lockers danes or did you have your own?
About Garfield and friends...that's it! I'm Nermal (or Nermol) and your Garfield! see? Me -cute, you-brat. Hahaha. Fits no? About that Pokie thing, remember I told you that story about a trivia quiz show we joined in my org Ecosoc & they asked who that character was and nobody knew and finally one guy answered.............FIFI!!!!! Bwahahahaha.....Fifi, Pokie, hahaha....go figure.
It's 3:34pm and BJ promised his email would arrive by lunchtime....well, well, well, I'm about to go home in an hour and his email's nowhere to be seen. He even made a deal wherein if one of us fails to give an email on the day he/she says it would come, he/she would have to make libre the other one. Nya-nya-nya-nya-nyaaaah....I'm thinking, I like the new Incubus CD. Or Lateralus... or any other us CD for that matter, hahaha.

Nikki, have you been not taking your medicines again? :o)
I had too much organic chemistry in me...so toxic--I had to do something else...BLOG!
I'm stuck here in the house again and was not able to go to my-so-called-work because of the rains so it means it's flooded here in our place again. Packingshet! :o) By the way, it's a riot they called the storm Jolina...sira na talaga sila! JOLOGS! I think we have a tropical depression today but I think they still don't have a name for it...sana Marvin! Chinkeemae!
I have an erratic blogging pattern lately since I am really preparing for the coming boards this September. I'm a bit agit since last week since I HAVE TO STUDY! Oh well...how hard can it get--juggling work and review...sheeesh.
For a while I thought you have gone bananas there! Bitchiness is my lifeblood...LOL. I can't be nice, I have to be ruthless. The world is filled with and infiltrated with boring people without us...Take your medicines so you don't go looney and come up with thoughts of being nice and all...LOL.
So you into the Anne of Green Gables again huh? Diba you also have the Anne of Avonlea book? I still remember ha! I once ransacked your bag when we were in the 9th grade and all I can find was your Gables paraphernalia...hanggang locker ha! Wala kang TeenBeat and TigerBeat and all the girlie mags with Jonathan Brandis, yung addict-looking guy who married his tutor (Edward Furlong), Macaulay Culkin pictures and all pero meron ka books! Grabe! Which reminds me in that same year I had the habit of writing small notes beside each selection in our Anthology pretending I was a die-hard fan of the authors (Western Literature) then they gave me an autograph thingee of some sort. LOL. What a crazy life...hahahahaha.
Naaalala ko pa yung Garfield and Friends. That was the cartoon wherein half of the show was the ordinary Garfield cartoons with Jon, Odie, Nurse sa vet with luscious puta red lips and Nermol yata...yung small na bibong-bibo (what a word!) na kitten na pinapadala ni Garfield sa Africa or anywhere far from their house kasi super dooper irritated siya sa kanya! LOL. And of course, who will ever forget Pokie? Everytime Garfield calls the cute teddy bear may malice kasi parang pepe ng girl yung name! Yuck talaga! Dun sa other half, like ko yung bitchy sheep...yung super duwag na duck...naturingan na nga na duck may salbabida pa kasi takot malunod! Ano ba yun!
*A bit more serious talk*
I was watching Oprah the other night. I found the topic quite interesting...quarterlife crisis. I can relate kasi...people with college degrees in their 20's confused on what they ought to do with their life. Meaning, they aren't happy with what they have right now either because it's the only job they have or it is more of what is available now. Mga dilemma such as pleasing other people rather than pleasing youerself sort of stuff. I am really in such situation now...I can't believe I am having second thoughts of going through the board exams knowing I don't have any use for it anyway.

You know how I was crazy for this series of classical novels about Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery in high school Danes? Aubhugn, Gizzy and I were probably the only ones in class (9-Lithium) who were aware of these at that time but I absolutely fell in love with it. I first chanced upon it when Channel 4 aired a miniseries about the first 3 books in the 8 book series and I was just hooked! Well, after so many years, I was shopping at Angus & Robertson's Bookworld when I chanced upon the video (I just had to buy it!!) and my Anne-obsession was back. I surfed related sites last night and I came up with this poem, which was the lead character, Anne Shirley's favorite. It's a girly piece but it's a fun one to read to just take your thoughts away from the busy rifraff of work.
The Lady of Shalott --Alfred Lord Tennyson
On either side the river lie
Long fields of barley and of rye,
That clothe the wold and meet the sky;
And thro' the field the road runs by
To many-tower'd Camelot;
The yellow-leaved waterlily
The green-sheathed daffodilly
Tremble in the water chilly
Round about Shalott.
Willows whiten, aspens shiver.
The sunbeam showers break and quiver
In the stream that runneth ever
By the island in the river
Flowing down to Camelot.
Four gray walls, and four gray towers
Overlook a space of flowers,
And the silent isle imbowers
The Lady of Shalott.
Underneath the bearded barley,
The reaper, reaping late and early,
Hears her ever chanting cheerly,
Like an angel, singing clearly,
O'er the stream of Camelot.
Piling the sheaves in furrows airy,
Beneath the moon, the reaper weary
Listening whispers, ' 'Tis the fairy,
Lady of Shalott.'
The little isle is all inrail'd
With a rose-fence, and overtrail'd
With roses: by the marge unhail'd
The shallop flitteth silken sail'd,
Skimming down to Camelot.
A pearl garland winds her head:
She leaneth on a velvet bed,
Full royally apparelled,
The Lady of Shalott.
No time hath she to sport and play:
A charmed web she weaves alway.
A curse is on her, if she stay
Her weaving, either night or day,
To look down to Camelot.
She knows not what the curse may be;
Therefore she weaveth steadily,
Therefore no other care hath she,
The Lady of Shalott.
She lives with little joy or fear.
Over the water, running near,
The sheepbell tinkles in her ear.
Before her hangs a mirror clear,
Reflecting tower'd Camelot.
And as the mazy web she whirls,
She sees the surly village churls,
And the red cloaks of market girls
Pass onward from Shalott.
Sometimes a troop of damsels glad,
An abbot on an ambling pad,
Sometimes a curly shepherd lad,
r long-hair'd page in crimson clad,
Goes by to tower'd Camelot:
And sometimes thro' the mirror blue
The knights come riding two and two:
She hath no loyal knight and true,
The Lady of Shalott.
But in her web she still delights
To weave the mirror's magic sights,
For often thro' the silent nights
A funeral, with plumes and lights
And music, came from Camelot:
Or when the moon was overhead
Came two young lovers lately wed;
`I am half sick of shadows,' said
The Lady of Shalott.
A bow-shot from her bower-eaves,
He rode between the barley-sheaves,
The sun came dazzling thro' the leaves,
And flam'd upon the brazen greaves
Of bold Sir Lancelot.
A red-cross knight for ever kneel'd
To a lady in his shield,
That sparkled on the yellow field,
Beside remote Shalott.
The gemmy bridle glitter'd free,
Like to some branch of stars we see
Hung in the golden Galaxy.
The bridle bells rang merrily
As he rode down from Camelot:
And from his blazon'd baldric slung
A mighty silver bugle hung,
And as he rode his arm our rung,
Beside remote Shalott.
All in the blue unclouded weather
Thick-jewell'd shone the saddle-leather,
The helmet and the helmet-feather
Burn'd like one burning flame together,
As he rode down from Camelot.
As often thro' the purple night,
Below the starry clusters bright,
Some bearded meteor, trailing light,
Moves over green Shalott.
His broad clear brow in sunlight glow'd;
On burnish'd hooves his war-horse trode;
From underneath his helmet flow'd
His coal-black curls as on he rode,
As he rode down from Camelot.
From the bank and from the river
He flash'd into the crystal mirror,
'Tirra lirra, tirra lirra,'
Sang Sir Lancelot.
She left the web, she left the loom
She made three paces thro' the room
She saw the water-flower bloom,
She saw the helmet and the plume,
She look'd down to Camelot.
Out flew the web and floated wide;
The mirror crack'd from side to side;
The curse is come upon me,' cried
The Lady of Shalott.
In the stormy east-wind straining,
The pale yellow woods were waning,
The broad stream in his banks complaining,
Heavily the low sky raining
Over tower'd Camelot;
Outside the isle a shallow boat
Beneath a willow lay afloat,
Below the carven stern she wrote,
The Lady of Shalott.
A cloudwhite crown of pearl she dight,
All raimented in snowy white
That loosely flew (her zone in sight
Clasp'd with one blinding diamond bright)
Her wide eyes fix'd on Camelot,
Though the squally east-wind keenly
Blew, with folded arms serenely
By the water stood the queenly
Lady of Shalott.
With a steady stony glance--
Like some bold seer in a trance,
Beholding all his own mischance,
Mute, with a glassy countenance--
She look'd down to Camelot.
It was the closing of the day:
She loos'd the chain, and down she lay;
The broad stream bore her far away,
The Lady of Shalott.
As when to sailors while they roam,
By creeks and outfalls far from home,
Rising and dropping with the foam,
From dying swans wild warblings come,
Blown shoreward; so to Camelot
Still as the boathead wound along
The willowy hills and fields among,
They heard her chanting her deathsong,
The Lady of Shalott.
A longdrawn carol, mournful, holy,
She chanted loudly, chanted lowly,
Till her eyes were darken'd wholly,
And her smooth face sharpen'd slowly,
Turn'd to tower'd Camelot:
For ere she reach'd upon the tide
The first house by the water-side,
Singing in her song she died,
The Lady of Shalott.
Under tower and balcony,
By garden wall and gallery,
A pale, pale corpse she floated by,
Deadcold, between the houses high,
Dead into tower'd Camelot.
Knight and burgher, lord and dame,
To the planked wharfage came:
Below the stern they read her name,
The Lady of Shalott.
They cross'd themselves, their stars they blest,
Knight, minstrel, abbot, squire, and guest.
There lay a parchment on her breast,
That puzzled more than all the rest,
The wellfed wits at Camelot.
'The web was woven curiously,
The charm is broken utterly,
Draw near and fear not,--this is I,
The Lady of Shalott.'
Lying, robed in snowy white
That loosely flew to left and right --
The leaves upon her falling light --
Thro' the noises of the night,
She floated down to Camelot:
'The web was woven curiously,
The charm is broken utterly,
Draw near and fear not,--this is I,
The Lady of Shalott.'

For a Change
To start off a day on a different note (read: wag naman bitchy for a chaaaange), I found this enlightening article in the Inquirer's 2bu! section. Baka sakaling maliwanagan tayo......
YOUNG people are constantly searching for happiness yet often end up frustrated. So here are nuggets of wisdom from Eastern thinkers like Confucius, Lao-Tzu and Buddha to guide young minds on their quest for individual attainment and eternal love.
1. I am who? Try telling yourself over and over again “I am just it. I am just it” until you get the feeling that you are natural, simple, plain but never unimportant. Lao-Tzu in his Taoist teachings emphasizes simple-mindedness. It’s not about being the biggest dumb ever but it’s all about getting to know yourself without the particulars of your status, name or position. Get to know yourself better by keeping a reflective attitude in life.
2. I am for who? According to Confucius, an individual is not for himself or herself alone. An individual lives in a relationship with others. You can recognize your individuality by recognizing what others are for you and what you are for them. Give and take in your society, not to seek human perfection but for you to be a being called human.
3. Do I see the light? Buddhism has thought its followers that all things in our world, even the whole universe, are ultimately empty. It is not for us to think of our lives, all that we do and all that we have as insignificant. They will all serve as our means, our means of acquiring enlightenment. Each and everyone of us believes that there’s something beyond what we are, no matter how diverse these beliefs are. What’s important is that we seek such enlightenment.
4. Where do I belong? Some people get stuck into wrong jobs or wrong marriages; as for young adults, in wrong courses or wrong set of friends because they do not know where they belong. Lao-Tzu teaches us that everything has its own place and function. Not every job is for all jobless graduates, nor does any skill apply to all kinds of work. It is a matter of consequence to know your capabilities and limitations. Recognize what’s in you, and you won’t have problems fitting in, working and relating accordingly.
5. Am I good? Believe it. Humans are basically and innately good, according to Confucius. It’s just somewhere there inside of us. It is for us to cultivate personal virtues like love and honesty. Believe in it and seek that goodness in you.
6. What do I desire? Ever wonder why life seems filled with suffering and hardships? The teachings of Buddhism explain that it’s because of our endless human desire for worldly matters. Our only escape from these sufferings and anguish is to desire the indescribable state of no desire known as Nirvana. Nirvana or no Nirvana, it’s worth a thought for us to try re-channeling our desires and wants. Why not desire something that would go beyond our physical world?
7. Am I too busy? Technologies of machines today, if not all about speed, are all about consuming time. But ironically, more and more pre-occupied, running, always-in-a-hurry people occupy our cities even the countryside. Lao-Tzu, in contrast, teaches us to “Go, relax after the toil.” Unlike monetary matters, time seems something impossible to save. So, instead of getting mixed up by saving time, why not spend time wisely? Enjoy life; you deserve it.
8. Am I to think what’s right? Confucius seeks every individual to prioritize moral thinking than of thinking about profits and gains. We should let our cultivated sense of values guide us to think of what is good for us, as well as for others. Try giving up something that is incompatible with your set of values. It’s worth the try to do what you think is morally good.
9. I know what? Taoist teachings ask us how we know what we know. It’s good for us to learn from books and inside the four walls of educational institutions. It’s fair enough to say that once in a while we need to go outside and let experience teach us more valuable things we need to know. Go out to nature, meet new people or visit places.
10. Nature in me? What made ancient Oriental thinking valuable to the Chinese is its orientation, connection and understanding of nature. But it’s not for them alone to enrich themselves of such knowledge. In fact, original thoughts are universal ideas. We can make use of them for our own purpose and guidance. Humans are part of nature. And we have nature as a part of ourselves.

What a Hoot!!
It took me a weekend to digest the fact that PAG-ASA actually named a typhoon/storm JOLINA? WTF? WTF?WTF?WTF? They did make a good guess as to what the storm did in relation to the name they gave it anyhow....Typhoon Jolina wreaked havoc as it swept across the metro, flooding streets, knocking down trees & poles...and basically declaring itself a disaster much as Jolina has done to the fashion industry, taking the word "jologs" to the next level and making numerous young girls dye their hair red, wear 'over the top 'retro - kuno' clothes and sing Paper Roses to the tune of a disco remix. What a hoot.

It's Actually Quiet...
It's 12:33pm and half of the people in my wing of the office have gone to lunch. Normally, the phones should be ringing off the hook cos most of the advertisers and subscribers use their lunch breaks to call us and settle accounts or do queries but today, it's unusually silent. Aaaahh....all I can hear is the tip tapping of the keyboards made by me and the 5 or so other people left in the room. I'm sure no work's getting done as we're all taking advantage of this lull to churn out some emails to friends or to blog (like me).
It's 12:35pm now and in less than half an hour I'll be having my 30minutes of bliss (not that it's not "blissful" now)....but, oh the phone's ringing. better answer it now and get back to this one later....

The Tao of Pooh + Dilbert = Garfield and Friends
I've also wanted to buy that book before....is it good? about the Dilbert books, I do think they're a good buy as well but with the book prices steadily rising especially the good ones you can buy in Powerbooks, I'm not quite sure it's worth your what, P500.00?
Re the nonsense title for my blog, I just remembered that OBB (Opening BillBoard -- haha, that's advertising talk) on that old show Garfield and friends (which I NEVER missed a few years back on channel 5) where there's that song that goes "friends are there...to give you hand....yada yada yada" That was actually quite cute. Where Garfield, Odie and those farm animals pushed, shoved and kicked each other off the screen was a stupid attempt at kiddie slapstick but it was funny nonetheless. I used to love the little kitty they had there, what was her name? Nermo or something (don't laugh, I really can't remember!) who was sickeningly sweet that Garfield hated her so much...diba? Parang you and me...of course you're Garfield and I'd be that cute kitten.
10:46:00 PM
Oh I'm so Happy....NOT!
I'm so happy that you're back and bloging again....what a relief....I might've been doing a Crispin-Basilio number had you come a day or two later....wyndang na ako nun!!!!
About the allergies....OMG, in our 9 or so-years of friendship, I NEVER KNEW WE HAD THE EXACT SAME ALLERGY!!!!! As in Rhinitis din!!!! I only got diagnosed this year but I've been suffering from it FOREVER. OMG, I wanted to jump up on my seat and shout out "Daniel and I have the same friggin' allergy!!!" but of course, I could've gotten fired for that. My mom says that she used to have the same thing until she got sick so I assumed that it was just one of those things I inherited from my mom (why is it that I always inherit the bad stuff and the good stuff from my parents? malas yata talaga ako). I'm like this really bizaare person when I tell someone I spend a whole day with that I sneeze EXACTLY 6 times in the morning, 6 times in the afternoon and 6 times in the evening but I don't have a cold. Well, talk about majorly CREEPY stuff...I was interviewing that Christian boyband Plus One (o, don't start on me about boybands again -- trabaho lang...but I couldn't help it cos they were cute!) I found out that one of the members, the half-Filipino one with the goatee had the same thing and sneezed the exact same times. I don't know why but we got all so giddy about it and it was all because of this weird thing that I'm not even proud to tell other people about!!!
Well, I do have a picture of Sam the cat, and I'll try to scan it when I get the time to install my scanner (it's still in the box after 5 months) and can you teach me how to upload pictures or links to blogs?
Anyway, I'm not happy because:
1. it's Monday (i'm always grumpy on mondays)
2. our website still has the same geodesic dome on the background (i don't hate it, but i know you've got a better layout there somewhere)
3. you didn't react about my senti-blog.........
4. you have a Palm and i don't. and i want one soooooooooo much. (papindot na lang ha?)
5. i miss starbucks......more than you. (HA!)

DILBERT
I don't really know much about Dilbert--his philosophies in life, his mission in cartoon world, his ideals and all the crap! I don't even know his market audience. The working class? That one I had figured out. I religously watch Dilbert in CNBC before Conan O'Brian and the one with the super-sharp chin guy.
He is like the Pooh of businessmen!
Can you remember how Pooh was commercialized to be used as self-help and soul enriching icon with his simple philosophies and ideals in his 100 Akerwood abode? There were books regarding that...my friends even gave me 'The Tao of Pooh' on my birthday. Perhaps the same thing goes with Dilbert. I find him funny, witty and smart--so are his crazy and looney officemates. There is this Dogbert and the red cat wherein they have major contributions in his persona. He depends on these creatures to make decisions in life...sometimes.
About the book...did you know I have wanted so much to buy his two books in Powerbooks? Hehehehe, no moolah...I bought my keyboard this month so next month na si Dilbert.
6:19:00 PM
*Daniel windang and losyang on a Monday morning*
It's a freakin' Monday once again! Another work week for me...and hellish stuff will start to happen (transpire) before I know it. Some will try to bite my head off, some will stab me several times on the back, and some will be full of shit and I think that would have to be me. Bwahahahahaha! *Daniel windang and losyang on a Monday morning*
I have allergic rhinitis eversince I was a kid. In plain English, I am allergic to dust, pollen, cold weather, mornings and late evenings. It got worse when we were in college where my sinus got really irritated and inflammed and I started to get headaches and all. The doc gave me steroids for it...ba't hindi pa ako macho now? And my **ck is still big? Uh-oh... Well, it was in small doses so it really didn't affect my physique and give me a super body-beautiful looks with a small dick! LOL Back to my story, afterwards he gave me this vibrator looking thing where I had to spray the medicine in each of my nostrils every single day to stop me from sneezing. It worked but when he told me to stop, in a few months time it all came back! Siyet! I need an allergologist...someone I think who is good in relieving (take note, relieve not cure) people's allergies.
Do you have a picture of Sam? Curious lang ako on how he looks like kasi when I was having my Bio class, we discussed a Chincilla pero hindi cat--it was a long-haired rabbit. LOL Baka cross-breed yan ng rabbit and cat! Ewwwww. But cats really have the allergens to make you sneeze...but again, it could be because it's spring!
6:10:00 PM
DON'T LOOK AT ME...BLAME HIM
I have no idea what you are talking about regarding the BOLD thing...
It was the Blogger's fault! All I did was make my title go bold when I did my last blog and all went bold! Nakulitan yata sa akin.
5:56:00 PM
I HAVE ALL FOUR BOOKS!
I can be so shallow at times...
When you gave me a link where I can get the Harry Potter (all 4) e-books, I went there to download it ASAP. Well, I just had to download also the Thai language support plug-in kahit no read-no write ako in Thai. I did it kasi it was aesthetically pleasing to look at a site wherein there are foreign inscriptions in it rather than odd symbols / letters to show you don't have the freakin' plug-in for it! After much searching in those Thai Palm related sites...as in gapang, I did get to download all of them! Yes I did!
Though it really wouldn't replace the feel of a real book wherein you can physically hold it close to you (how perverted) or smell the ink as it had been printed on its pages or even hear the pages as you flip each page--what can I do I can't afford to buy all four hard-bound copies of the Potter series! Yes my dear, I want the hard-bound editions and not the paperbacks but no moolah! If ever, my only consolation is that I look cool among the majority of the Harry fans out there. Siyet! All four books compressed in this fashionably-chic, sosi looking contraption with a big screen, a stylus and few buttons. My friends really couldn't believe I managed to have ALL of them in my super handheld computer.
Thank you bru--for referring it to me. Where in the world did you get the info that in some Thai PDA site you can get the H. Potter e-books? All are okay...I can read all of them. I have two e-book applications on my Palm and all of them work perfectly.
5:47:00 PM
What Happened?
Why do all the other blogs from the 18th & before that appear in bold? *puts hands up* I didn't do anything, did you Daniel?
3:52:00 PM
Spring is in the Air
I've just discovered that I'm allergic to cats. I knew I was allergic to dust and the stuff that flies all over the place when you handle mimeographing paper (now why did I develop that just recently, I don't know. Talk about bad timing, it would've been a good way to get out of periodic exams if I had that during high school, no?) but while we were watching Blade on TV I was patting Sam, one of the two cats we have at home. He's a silver tipped Chinchilla so he's the hairy type and then suddenly I just started sneezing like mad. I've been around these cats for quite a while but I've never been really that close to them since I like the dogs better. And then my cousin said my eyes were both red so he concluded that I've got cat fur in my eyes. Turns out, their older brother (whom I thought just hated cats cos I never saw him near them) was allergic to so that makes two of us. And with spring coming and pollen in the air.....uh-oh.

Now Who Said Dilbert Was Dumb?
I just got this Dilbert list via email and it really is a list to live by -- especially those like me who are allergic to a thing called work. I reckon it's a pretty good list of principles to live things by .....lets you get through the day without killing people hehe.
Dilbert's Rules of Order
1. I can only please one person per day. Today is not your day. Tomorrow is not looking good either.
2. I love deadlines. I especially like the whooshing sound they make as they go flying by.
3. Tell me what you need, and I'll tell you how to get along without it.
4. Accept that some days you are the pigeon and some days the statue.
5. Needing someone is like needing a parachute. If he isn't there the first time, chances are you won't be needing him again.
6. I DON'T HAVE AN ATTITUDE PROBLEM, YOU HAVE A PERCEPTION PROBLEM.
7. Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky, and I thought to myself, where the heck is the ceiling?
8. My reality check bounced.
9. On the keyboard of life, always keep one finger on the escape key.
10. I don't suffer from stress. I am a carrier.
11. You are slower than a herd of turtles stampeding through peanut butter.
12. Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, because you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.
13. Everybody is somebody else's weirdo.
14. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.
15. A pat on the back is only a few centimeters from a kick in the butt.
16. Don't be irreplaceable - if you can't be replaced, you can't be promoted.
17. After any salary raise, you will have less money at the end of the month than you did before.
18. The more crap you put up with, the more crap you are going to get.
19. You can go anywhere you want if you look serious and carry a clipboard.
20. Eat one live toad the first thing in the morning and nothing worse will happen to you the rest of the day.
21. If it wasn't for the last minute, nothing would get done.
22. When you don't know what to do, walk fast and look worried.
23. Following the rules will not get the job done.
24. When confronted by a difficult problem, you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question, "How would the Lone Ranger handle this?"
25. Only the mediocre are at their best all the time.
26. There's a fine line between genius and insanity. I have erased this line.
27. Bring ideas in and entertain them royally, for one of them may be the king.
28. If at first you don't succeed......skydiving isn't for you.
29. Life is a waste of time; time is a waste of life, so get wasted all of the time and have the time of your life.
30. When everything is coming your way......you're in the wrong lane.
