No nonsense wall-writings of an "AnJOLINA" Jolie fan and a Catholic school-girl gone bad. Both live in a world of endless changes joined by common ideals and opinions regarding things--bitchy, stupid and real.

I'm Bored

I got this off another blog.....so I just erased her answers and filled it up with mine. Just something to do while passing time. I'm watching the CNN telethon, and it's raining (in spring? why oh why....) and typing this up. Danes' out of curiosity's sake, fill it up when you have the time. I'm dying to know what wallet you're using now. I remember your old beat up Benetton wallet which you couldn't just let go of. Last count was that Girbaud wallet, right?

WALLET: it's this black leather nine west wallet that I bought a year ago before I left for Australia because it had a small calculator and a cute parker pen in it. I thought it would come in handy for converting prices and listing down stuff, but so far, I've never even used the calculator and I don't know where the pen is now. Hehe. I do have my eyes on a nice Oroton wallet, but it's way beyond my price so maybe I'll hang on to this one for a while. I'd like to get a smaller one actually, one that would fit in my smaller bags (so now you know that the one i have now is HUGE. haha, like the ones Mums use and has heaps of space for credit cards -- as if I have that many)

HAIR-BRUSH: I've got my trusty brown Goody paddle brush but since it's humongous I leave it at home. I have a tiny hair doctor in my bag all the time. I've been using the same big hair doctor i've had since high school even with the chip in the cute red transparent base and the bent bristle cos I dropped it one time too many, but I seem to have lost it so now I'm using a plain blue Body Shop comb.

TOOTHBRUSH: pink Colgate toothbrush from my trip to Hobart. I forgot to bring my toothbrush so my Uncle had to buy me one and well, no choice. haha.

JEWELRY WORN DAILY: my pearl earrings from my Mom, 3 ID bracelets all given by my dad, and necklace with 2 charms: a heart (from my past Kris aquino-like obsession with heart jewelry) and a unique crucifix which my Dad bought in an obscure place.

PILLOW COVER: I dunno what brand it is, but it's terno with my doona/duvet/comforter. It's purple and blue with hearts, very very girly.

COFFEE CUP: The green see through starbucks mug. Everyone else has the blue clear mug, so I decided to get the other one!

SUNGLASSES: I used to have this really nice DKNY shades I bought from Rustan's (they were 40% off heheh) but I dropped them so the lenses fell out (imagine me wearing the frame but without lenses -- i looked like an idiot) so I bought a nice pair of Guccis - tres chic! I used to love my Oakleys to death (even with my Mum's teasing me that I look like a bubuyog) but I scraped the lens and found out the warranty applies to everything BUT the lenses so now it's at home and my Mum's using it. Sinong bubuyog ngayon ahem?

SHOES: I've been wearing these blue Nike prestos all day today. Well all weekend for that matter. Cos that's the only time I can wear casual shoes.

NAILPOLISH: none, I can't be bothered with that now. I don't know how to put them on, and it costs $25 friggin' dollars for a manicure. I'll save them for when I get back to Manila.

KEYCHAIN: It's a silver Marvin the Martian keychain from Warner Bros. Movieworld on the Gold Coast

COMPUTER: Hewlett Packard Pavilion

FAVORITE TOP: right now it's a blue and green sports jersey from a store here called Sportsgirl. I wear it with my jeans, with my skirt, with my shorts....it goes well with anything

FAVORITE PANTS: dark denims from French Star. bumsters actually, they're the first pair I've bought here that are actually proper trousers that are just the right length for me (they're always too long). I was so excited i bought two in the same color! LOL. I always used to buy those capris but when I wore them they'd pass for full length pants........that's how pathetic my height is.

SHAMPOO/CONDITIONER: good 'ol Palmolive, it was on specials at Woolworths's......

PERFUME: the same one I've been wearing for the past 3 years: L'eau Par Kenzo. I still wear Romance by Ralph Lauren (for men ha, not the one for women.....i'm not gay or what, it just smells better).

CDS IN THE STEREO: I've got Nelly's Country Grammar, Maxwell Unplugged, Invertigo's Say You Do and the latest Regurgitator album

CAR: I miss my car! here I'm stuck with the Nissan Largo (it's a van, kinda like the Previa) and the Nissan Pintara. And I can't drive without a licensed person cos I'm too scared to take my driver's test so it sucks.

TELEVISION: 3 but none in my room, waaah!

STEREO: my mini stereo in my room, my cd player on the computer and my trusty old discman from high school (7 years and still running baby!!!!)

TELEPHONE
: I have no idea what brand it is but it's one of those standard ones..It's Telstra I think (which is also a phone co. down under)

CELLPHONE: white mother of pearl Nokia 8210

PRINTER: HPDeskjet 630C

DESK: it's a built in desk my uncle built. Pretty cool actually.

If I think up of any other things, I'll put it up, but honestly, who would be interested? Anyway, it doeesn't matter na din naman cos I don't think anybody will steal it from my house anyway hehehe.

I'm Still Here

Yeah, I know, I know I've been MIA the last week. As I've said before, I've just been, well, busy.

I don't even want to write about what happened in New York last week. It's just beyond words. And to think we were to take a trip there together sometime in the distant future when we were both filthy rich & i could dress up like Sarah Jessica Parker & co. and you were head chef of Nobu or whatever the trendiest restaurant in NYC is at that time. How are we to do that Ferris Beuller's Day Off thingy? The Autumn in New York thingy? Oh well. When that day comes, I'm sure we'll both stand on that piece of land where the twin towers once stood and both mutter to ourselves....sayang.

I got this from a friend, and I think that it's the best way to end this blog. On a sad note, as it is impossible to be cheery when writing about such a tragedy.

Statement from Eve Ensler, playwright
(The Vagina Monologues)

I HAVE BEEN THINKING

I have been thinking about violence.

I have been thinking about an airplane full of terrified women
and men and children smashing into a tower full
of unsuspecting women and men
who were just sipping their morning coffee.

I have been thinking of the burning people
jumping from the 100th floor, jumping for their lives.

I have been thinking about the hundreds
of firefighters and police officers who were lost,
crushed under a collapsing tower.

I have been thinking about a husband waiting in his office
for 14 hours for his wife who worked on the 104th floor,
his wife who had not called, who was probably never
going to call, and yet he was still waiting.

I was thinking of the man who called his mother
from the hijacked plane to tell her he loved her,
to remember he loved her.

I have been thinking about the debris and the dust on
New Yorkers' shoes and how shocked we are here in
America, how protected we have been.

I have been thinking about all the war torn countries
I have been to, Bosnia, Kosova, Israel, Afghanistan,
and the dust on the peoples' shoes and the
debris.

I have been thinking about the people who were
driven to hijack airplanes with knives and box cutters
and fly them through buildings, who were ready,
eager to lose their lives to hurt other people.

I have been thinking about why,
what would make people want to do that.
I have been thinking about the words retaliation
and punishment and act of war.

I have been thinking about violence,
what it feels like to be nothing to someone else.
What it feels like to be a consequence of someone
else's disassociated rage, disconnected fury.

I have been thinking about the cycle of
hurt for hurt, nation against nation, tit for tat.
I have been thinking about how deeply
something else is required.

I have been thinking about the courage it requires
to think about something other than violence
as a response to violence.

I am thinking about the complexity of this
and the loneliness of this and the helplessness
and the sorrow that would be felt in the space
where violence once was and the grief.

I have been thinking that for those of us who are living
on the planet right here, right now, we must live in this
dangerous space, allowing the helplessness, the grief,
the sorrow to create new wisdom that can and will
and must free us from this terrible prison of violence.

I urge you, each one of you - fall into this space,
weep, be lost, let go, die into the grief -
inside the emptiness and the pain it will be revealed.

Stop The Violence. Spread The Word.
